Since the big AR splash that Apple made at June’s ARkit unveiling (and the underwhelming follow-up at September’s iPhone X unveiling), it’s been relatively quiet about AR.

Tim Cook has made the occasional “AR will be huge” comments on talk shows, but the company hasn’t done much more in terms of a marketing push for ARkit or apps that are built on it. That relative silence ended yesterday with Apple’s latest ad, featuring AR app Housecraft.

It’s short but sweet, bringing the message of AR’s utility and fun to a larger television audience — which is what AR needs more of. And it intelligently focuses on ARkit’s most useful and native category so far: furniture visualization. See it in it’s full 15-second glory below.
